FINAL SUCCESS FOR MINOR CUP TEAM.

The Northern final of the ILGU Minor Cup competition was played at Lisburn Golf Club, on Sunday the 26th August on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

Dunmurry emerged the winners by 3 to 1 against Fintona.  After the first nine holes had been completed the match looked as if it could go to either team, with the games being so close.  But things changed on the back nine, with two of the matches being decided on the 20th hole in Dunmurry's favour and one team being called in.

Joy was barely contained by the Dunmurry ladies and their supporters and they now go on to play in the All Ireland final at Gorey (Co. Wexford) in September.

Team Captain Chris Simpson thanked the Fintona team for the friendly manner in which the game was played and went on to thank her team for their committment and team spirit during all the matches.
