LADY CAPTAINS’ DAY JUNE 2010

The sun was shining and the birds singing at 07.54 as the first pair of lady golfers drove off the first tee to start the competition for Lady Captain’s prize.  The beautiful weather and the excellent work of the Green staff insured that the course was in top condition for the Dunmurry ladies and for the Captain’s guests.  There were some very low scores returned.  Kate Cassidy, past Captain, was the overall winner with a nett 66.  Jane Flemming was runner up with nett 67 and Helen McCarthy had best gross score of 76.  Hilary Brady, the L.C. had chosen some lovely prizes for the lucky winners, including a Golfing break to Castle Hume.  After an excellent dinner and a few (!!) glasses of wine the day ended with dancing to a lively band.
